What changed, and when.

Notable changes to the Asteria site, catalogue model and token metadata schema, newest first. Dates use the ISO format YYYY-MM-DD, and versions follow semantic versioning.

Unreleased#

Planned

Work planned for the next phases of the roadmap. Nothing below is live, and every item remains subject to legal and technical review.

  • Catalogue verification. Every entry matched to its official Minor Planet Center designation and cross-checked against the JPL Small-Body Database; officialDesignation and the metadata data_sources list filled in; "Preview data" indicators removed entry by entry.
  • Data model. Orientation angles, epoch and retrieval dates added for verified orbits; scientific values versioned and dated.
  • Legal review. Terms of sale, privacy policy and risk disclosures reviewed by counsel.
  • Chain and custody. Choice of chain and custody model finalised; smart-contract specification frozen.
  • Contracts and testnet. ERC-721 registry token, on-chain name registry and ERC-2981 royalty support deployed to a public testnet with a faucet and test listings.
  • Audit. Third-party security audit of the contracts, published in full.

v0.1.0 — 2026-10-06#

Preview

Preview site, docs, catalogue model and token metadata schema v1.0.0.

Added#

  • Preview website. Home, the Explore collection with individual asteroid pages, the naming ceremony preview and the roadmap.
  • Documentation. 24 pages across seven sections, from asteroid science to tokenization, the marketplace and legal context.
  • Catalogue model. 14 preview entries, each storing spectral class, diameter, albedo, rotation period and the orbital elements a, e and i. Orbit class, near-Earth status, perihelion, aphelion, period, mean orbital speed, absolute magnitude and descriptive traits are derived automatically. See Data & sources.
  • Token metadata schema v1.0.0. ERC-721-compatible metadata with a namespaced asteria block holding the full registry record, the registry-name disclaimer and a placeholder for data sources. See Token metadata.
  • Waitlist. An email form for launch updates. Without a connected waitlist service it stores nothing, and says so.

Known limitations#

  • All catalogue entries are preview data; none carries an official designation yet.
  • There is no marketplace, wallet connection, deployed contract or chosen chain. These are planned.
  • Prices are indicative, and fees are not final.
  • Orbit visualisations use a, e and i only. Orientation angles are not yet part of the data model, so the orientation shown is illustrative.
  • Asteroid illustrations and glyphs are procedural artwork, not measured shape models.
